amazing grace to my blog
Dear mellow blog, do not fear, now that thou owner decided not to leave you sobbing all alone in one corner, so she is now brave enough to rise up and show her mangkuk hair publicly.
ok lah it is much better now after a month of talking to my own hair & drinking lots of milk. and if you did notice, my chop off my fringe into bangs :) its high maintenance but it feels so good without any hair touching my eyes (at the moment).
wondering what i'm looking?
hahaha i'm actually counting how many people in the pool before i decide whether to swim or not. shy ok!!so last weekend mom brought us to stay 1 night at Concorde Hotel because she got this lucky draw for a 2D1N stay at their premium suite. Yeah i know many people (including me) might think its so stupid to actually purposely sleep 1 night at some hotel while i can have the comfort at home. hahaha but after much debate, we decided to go since its free right? emily never resist free stuff in her life before. never. its a sin to do so LOL!
Well the room is actually not as big as how i imagined it to be. I thought it would be like you know, serena's house in gossip girl. But its still big lah definitely, with a small bar, a huge study table, sofa, plasma, and all. It felt as tho i was in a vacation not knowing i'm still in malaysia wtf. Haha the hotel actually provided buffet tea, buffet snacks (6pm-8pm) which is weird, and buffet breakfast which is already included. lol and also unlimited drinks/cocktails at the premium lounge till 11pm. seriously, thankgod its free! because i would never ever pay so much to stay one night ok. the only people i see in the same lounge are 2 japanese business man, and 4 other malay businessman and woman. They all damn weird one lor, its buffet right but they take so damn little! I took 3 rounds of sushi, 2 rounds of dessert, 1 round of everything wtf i'm such a monstaaa! No wonder chee liang and the rest called me black hole 1 :( hahaha and xinyi is black hole #2! Haha omg fun fact! come let me tell you fun fact! you know when i went to swim, i actually saw a malay woman and her daughter wearing a swimming suit that looks just like a baju kurung! and there's a tudung too! its their religion stuff so yeah.
The recent recession wasn't a bad thing afterall, for me at least, for the part where warehouse sales are growing in numbers and the stuff are actually extremely good bargains (: like what magazine always says, bargain hunters are often extremely confident, both with themselves and their fashion sense (the fashion sense part is not true). They get pleasure when people ask them where they got an item and don't make excuses for buying second-hand (this is true!). They are fiercely individualistic, both in looks and attitude (this i'm not so sure). Cheating the big retailers is all part of their game (this is fking true yeah man!). I mean, i don't really bother if those clothes are out of trend as long as its what i like and the its in good condition. so why not?
The zara clearance sales had a big big big x 10000 crowd & its a big blast too! Can you imagine that it took me (who came at 12.30) to line up for 2 and a half hours just to get in. not only that, to pay also need to line up from one corner to the other corner. So you can imagine lah. That aside, the stuff there are super cheap ok! ranging minimum from 10 bucks, and most of the stuff i like are around 30-50 only! I bought 3 stuff for 120 which is quite reasonable for Zara. It was heaven with alot of endurance hahahahahaha :D wanted to go for the 2nd day but then i have assignment to do /boo
Then recently i went to FJ's Benjamin clearence sale that have brands like Guess, Gap, Raoul, banana republic, la senza (yes, the bra brand), and so on. The upside is, its cheap for those who actually frequently purchase these brands all the time, especially for guess! the jeans i wanted to buy (but was a little too tight) cost $200 where the original price is $800 wtf. But its so nice :( i liked the grey wash out effect. Anyway, i bought a handbag and a shiny black top.
My latest craze for britain's got talent is back! hahahaha i've always loved britain got talent compared to american idol :) omg and i can't believe that i don't see Aidan Davis in the semifinals pun *frowns* i actually think he is better than that 10-year old okri girl who got in maybe due to her 'cuteness' what the hell ok. Click the link to see his video, and go watch okri's semifinals then you'll see the comparison! ish.
one more thing! i predict this blog will be dead once again until my finals is over! My exam date very kanasai lar, first paper on the 11th june and last paper on 29th june. Oh great.
love
emily.
