The happening holiday!

I'm gonna briefly recap my holiday (in case i forget in the future) while pulling my frinch. My hair is so short that its not funny anymore :(

Just a note: Its above my shoulder now. Get the picture? Fuh the cutting hair experience is one hell of a story all together. But i'm not gonna talk about it now. At least for now.

So, on the 8th of January, which is EV'S BIG BIRTHDAY! that stuuupid girl decided to run to Genting on that particular day. How eventful pft pft. I eventually had the idea of giving her a surprise by appearing at Genting also POP! ha ha ha wouldn't that be fun? lol so i pulled yeekeong along, drove to 1u, but because we were late, we had to buy the same 12.30 bus as ev and the rest. At that time i thought my surprise plan would be completely ruined, well thankgod ev is so blur that she saw us at the toilet nearby the bus stop and without a shadow of a doubt suspect that we're going on the same bus up. I took that opportunity and coned her saying that we were shopping around 1u and wanted to say goodbye to them before they leave. So both of us sneaked in the bus under one breathe, found ourselves a seat, then we saw 3 of them (ev, huiwen, hsiaoyinn) running like a chicken towards the bus because they're practically 10 minutes late! And when ev is about to walk pass my seat, i stood up and yelled 'SURPRISEE EV!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAA HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)!!!!' I notice all the other ah ma's in the bus dislike me from then on. Anyway, Mission accomplish! *pats myself on the back* Ev was blown over by my surprise attack hahahahaha

Huiwen, Me, and Ev

In my blog, for anyone's birthday there must be some embarrasingly awesome picture of theirs. And this is ev imitating the native ah pek from the movie 'australia'.

The malacca roadtrip.

Last Saturday, we (me and gay gang) went for a super random road trip to Malacca. I would say it was more to a food hunt trip considering we eat every half an hour hahahaha crazy right!

They actually thought i was familiar with Malacca but i'm sorry lah my direction sense seriously kosong one! i could only guide them till the malacca toll and everything after that was a blur. We got lost so many times that i think i could proudly say i actually memorized most of the landmarks and road signs in malacca.

I went there with four guys including yeekeong. Ha ha those 3 other fellers were incredibly active like energizer bunnies loosen from tanjung rambutan! They seriously chee sin one wei!

Presenting partial of the 'gay gang' (like how i used to call them). Ryan, Marcus, Leon, and yeekeong!

Leon with his nipple attack; Ryan with his insane addiction to master ear (a doodolls in yk's car); and marcus struggling to squeeze in between those two because he's too tall; yeekeong driving half asleeply putting our lifes at stake; while i was shaking my head throughout the journey. I think after this trip my brain cell zero already! Can you imagine 3 guys talking cock then out of no where start nippling attack until the whole myvi start shaking insanely!! Then my hot tempered yeekeong will go berserk because we're lost at the same time. I would just act like nothing is happening and hum according to the melody in hitz fm (we could only find that radio station lol).

I was staying at my grandma's house for the night. The smartest choice i ever made ok. Their room stinks with ciggratte smell all over because ryan and marcus decided that the toilet is the best place to fag wtf. And their comforter are all over the place with Chivas lingering somewhere plus a plasticbag of 7-11 ice flooding the hotel room floor. They stayed at a hotel nearby my grandma's house. hahaha they wanted to use marcus's charm to get cheaper room rates, instead i think that young school girl at the receptionist counter was quite angry for no apparent reason (maybe she can't do her longtitute question i guess). but anyway it is a promotion period so their room with 2 queen size bed was only 125 bucks! HAHAHA DAMN CHEAP RIGHT!!!! (i also think so!)

Had chicken rice ball for lunch!

I think i made my point very clear that i hate that rice ball thingy like hell. For the record, they actually ordered around 50 chicken rice balls i think. This is what i call the monster appetite. We finished the chicken in less than half an hour ok because we are too kiam siap to pay another parking ticket lol.

HAHAHA this picture is such a classic! Look at ryan's reluctant face with a peace sign wtf. Oh and i think in this picture you all can't notice the vietnamese writing (or what yk told me) on marcus's cap.

After lunch we had Cendol, ABC ice kacang at the old town area. Then had another Durian cendol at the famous Tan Kim Hock. I told you we ate like hell right.

For dinner, we had satay culup which is the highlight of my day :)

I think we took the most si ham of all. All 5 of us ate siham like drinking water only, keep spamming the creature that eats shits. No wonder all of us are FOS = full of shit. omfg damn lame! see! Now i am influenced by their lameness liao. On an irrelevant note, I MISS MY LONG HAIRRRRR :(

We were bloated. So full that none of us could move our butt. We decided to take a walk around jonker street before having our au jian for supper at a huge foodcourt called 'newton'.

Ryan wanted to buy a gun. And i got electrocuted by some stupid toy at this stall!

My brain went heywire but hey! someone was worst.

presenting.. MISTER POTATO!!!!!! (actually i forced him one la *smirks*) Hellooooo :)

Talking about Jonker Walk make me pist lo! There was this coconut guy claiming himself is in the Malaysian Book Of records because he could open a coconut with a FINGER. In the beginning, i was curious about it. but after this 'phd in marketing' started his kanasai crappy advertising of a so-called miracle oil that could make his swelling on his finger dissappeared in 2 minutes blablabla (as he claimed it to be). PLAIN BULLSHIT! he kept dragging and dragging by promoting that stupid oil thingy then had his mini shop selling it for 10 bucks. SEI CON MAN MADE ME STAND THERE TO WAIT FOR HIS POKE COCONUT STUNT FOR AN HOUR! hate him lah. If i see him again at jonker street ever again, im gonna throw coconut/cat/tissue paper at him la!

when i'm bored i like poking yeekeong :) hahahaha i purposely post this picture up to divert my attention from coconut man. Bah.

The next morning, the guys promised me that they would wake up at 8 for dim sum. Like what i predicted, none of them could wake up! hahahaha gamble and drink until so late thats why tsk tsk.

The expensive dim sum boohoo

Before we head home, we tried the superb awesomely kick butt beef noodle at malacca! OMG I TELL YOU I ACTUALLY WENT HEAVEN AFTER EATING IT OKAY!

On the way back we missed the turning back to Subang Jaya so we end up at the other end of the north-south highway which is Sg. Besi. Then we simply figure our way out by turning to Kl and then back to Subang. To keep it short, We got home safely :) i love this kind of road trips! Next, penang anyone?

*continue pulling my fringe*

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR PEOPLE (: collect as much ang pao as you can because its only once a year!!

the story of 3 ambitious baker!

At one fine sunday night, 3 of us in our linked msn conversation was cracking our minds of what awesome stuff to do for the following day. zj kept yelling FOOD; while ev suggested picnic instead; I, on the other hand was at suet li's page and was inspired that we 3 should bake cornflake cookies too because it looks so so so yummy. HAHAHA i told ev we could sell it and her mom will never ever nag at her ever again because we'll be earning load of $$$. However, for zj lol she nearly faint at our crazy idea to bake. She oppose like hell but later on gave in as long we go for lunch first hahaha.

A new fact about us: None of us know how to cook. My highest proudest achievement is cooking maggie using a microwave oven. Wtf the other day dad asked me to fry beehoon and it turned out as hard as a stick and as black as a longkang wtf disgusting until nobody dare to eat. Ev say she can fry egg tho. Well zj the art feller should have more common sense than both of us so oklah should be alright i guess.

That was before we started baking.

The adventourous us went to Giant to buy the cheapest ingredients we could get (lol no money lah). Zj, appointed as our GPS is suppose to locate all the stuff we're suppose to buy. but our gps kept swaying on her own and got lost just like that!!! In the end, me & ev somore need to find that sesat GPS girl. Those Giant people did help us to find as well considering that we don't even know what is written on our recipe paper (which i found at some weird blog where this mom loves baking for her son).

Headed home with our hopes all up waiting to sapu all the cookies we're gonna bake. Super excited ok! who knows when we're about to start step 1, we only found out that we left our caster sugar at giant! I knew all this kind of things would befall on us one. Its like a blardy curse. Anyway, we went to the nearby 7-11 to buy another one.

PART A - 100 gram butter
80 grams caster sugar

Cream the above till white and fluffy.

Apparently the butter from my fridge is frozen hard so its impossible to cream it or whatever we're suppse to do. And we're really confuse with what fluffy means. So, i tried acting smart by putting the butter into the microwave oven to melt it. I think i put the timer too long that is why it turned out all liquid lol.

Zhengjoo was having her euphoria moment stirring it. She crazy one i tell you! While stirring she would smell it and tell both us continously how nice is the smell. Not only that, she actually tried tasting it whenever we're not aware. Ha ha what on earth? Zj happily stirred till it really turned white. You know how long it took her to turn that yellowish colour stuff to white? maybe an hour long ok. omg i see her stir also feel tired for her. she prefer the traditional way i guess :)

PART B - 1 egg
1/2 tsp of vanilla essence

Beat egg with a fork and add vanilla. Add to the Part A above and mix well.

The second step is pretty easy.

JENGJENGJENG!

PART C -

150 grams soft flour (soft flour is normal wheat flour but it is better for cookies)
15 grams custard powder (custard powder will give cookies more crunch and yellowish tinge)
30 grams Nestum cereal
50 grams ground almond
1/2 tsp of emulder (it is supposed to give cookies its crunchiness)

CORN FLAKES - About 50 grams, gently mash the bigger pieces
We couldn't find emulder so we just didn't bother about it. I don't know what it is neither lol. Like they say, picture speaks better than words. Let me show you how me and ev beat flour HAHAHA (well, we used technology this time. if not i bet it'll take us eternity).

me struggling to hold the mixer well because its effing heavy!

ev on the other hand was splashing flour everywhere hahahahahahaa because one of the mixer drop off wtf wtf. HAHAHA omg and splash all over my leg lol. Zhengjoo was laughing her ass off. Somore that mixer is hyperly sensitive, if you accidentally pressed the 'turbo' button then everything will just fly out. Chee sin one!

After we add everything together only we realize that our dough is too wattery. Sigh i guess we added too much water thats why. Sorry lah its our first time cooking wei. We kept adding flour to make that dumwit dough sticky. Homg we nearly use finish that 1kg flour just to harden it cause if not it won't form a ball. fuhh fuhh what a torturing shit man.

Next, we're suppose to roll it into a ball and put into individual tiny paper cups. Our initial plan was to bake 90 only (since the receipe says so). But because of our emergency massive flour adding plan, we did around 200 cookie. Its damn alot ok! We added honey topping on top too although its not one of the instruction.

OUR COOKIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I know you people are anxious to know what the end product came out. HA HA HA well uhm i guess its eatable? lol? Except for too much flour, sticky paper cups, eating paper cups because its sticking the cookie, then our cookie is awesome hahahahaha.

The best quote was from my neighbour when i asked him to try out our half-baked cookie.
'emily! can i throw it ah?'

lol wtf hahahahahahahahhaah he is so honest *pat on vincent's back*

Nonetheless we enjoyed the aroma smell from the oven. And apparently my mom sapu half of my cookie; so does zj's sister who sapu-ed all. Oklah quite bangga la that our cookie is eatable :) *clap clap for all 3 of us*

cookie monster,
emily.

hello 2009

hello 2009!

A new beginning all over again. Every new year i would list down what i want to achieve in that particular year and cross check it by the end of the year. However, this year i want something different. I want to learn to be more courages (: i dislike being overpowered by fear.

I can't believe it myself that i've already crossed the era of being 20! Honestly i don't feel like a 20 year old YET, but soon you will see the mature and wise reborn emily wtf. Then everyone will freak out and run in circles hahahahaha. Sometimes i do miss being a kid, at least i could make millions of mistakes and not being responsible at all. Now, its different all together. Just last year was a year of change. HA! I entered university. It was a whole lot of soul searching yet ending up with nothing time line. I was jealous at some of my friends who were perfectly sureat what they want to go for. I, on the other hand took the path my dad created for me. I took up accountancy and finance not knowing whether i would like it or not. I guess it still suit me since i love money more than anything MUAHAHAHAHA!! one day i would build a house with money sticking as wallpaper from the inside (all one buck la of course!).

I hate the most about business is its abstractness. Like science, i would reason out day and night until i am satisfied with my understanding of the answer. However for business? Its so abstract and vague that there's no particular accurate answer for the question and it soley depends on how you justify it precisely. Maybe that's the weakness of being a science student all my life. Anyway, i can't wait to finish my course in two years time. Homg i can imagine it now ok! i would be soooo overwhelmed with happiness that i would cry! Bah its not over yet, dad still wants me to pursue master after that (if only he can still support me). I don't know about other people, but I tend to feel bad using up my dad's money for my education. Seriously, its not cheap ok. I know i cannot be selfish. If i were to study overseas, how if the economy suddenly experience another major downturn, then my 3 other siblings gotta study local university and flunk their future because of it. That is also one of the reason why i turn down all my offer to go to australia. Sigh i still can't get pass myself. Even if i'm there i know i would rather eat grass than to spend. During the holidays i think about it entirely, and i won't regret of my decision. Maybe i would only do my masters overseas. Come to think about it, its like choosing money over love hor? sorry yeekeong i know you wanted me to go over :( as my best friend you would support me right? (: *smiles*

In the mid of 2008, my love life nearly crumble into pieces when yeekeong told me he's going to melbourne university. Well its because his parents wants him to. If i were to say i'm okay with that, i'm lying. I was so angry inside that no words could explain how i felt. I admit i am selfish. I admit i can't let go. At that time all i could think of is breaking up with him, i'd rather break down earlier than to endure it worst when i fall too deep to him. Its so painful for both of us. Not only me. I know yk felt so so bad that i need to go through all this shit. Well it all ends well ain't it? I told him i would try and we both tried our very best to make it work. I am still amazed that we are together until now. i know its worth it! i know it deep down my heart that he's worth fighting for :)

the good times :)

ok enough for today! say happy birthday to ev if you see her (:

loves,
emily
